This week, our team in Lebanon got to meet many eager and enthusiastic university students at the NGO fair organised by the American University of Beirut (AUB) in collaboration with Saint Joseph University (USJ). This fair aimed to bring together local and international NGO’s active in Lebanon.
The two-full day exhibition was an opportunity not only to meet students and showcase the activities of SB OverSeas in Lebanon, but also to raise awareness on the situation of refugees and meet and connect with likeminded actors in the field.
The NGO fair was a successful day for us and many students were enthusiastic to join our team in Lebanon. This gives us hope that people support and share the same vision as us: a world where everyone is afforded the right to education and dignity. In addition, lots of people loved our handmade items that were on display. These items, are created as part of our empowerment programs, and sold with all money received going directly to the women who created them.
