10 years. 10 years of supporting, helping and fighting for inclusion. 10 years of projects that have been supported, developed and optimized. 10 years of hard work, community support and building strong relationships. Ten years ago, a small seed of hope was planted in the fertile soil of dedication and generosity. Today, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of SB Overseas with indefinable joy and pride. Over the years, our NGO has spread smiles and compassion and has given glimmers of hopes in the darkest times. Our journey began modestly, but with a clear vision and unwavering determination. 

In 2013, Louma Albik, the founder of SB Overseas, was able to mobilize the community and bring together like-minded individuals who believed strongly in the power of collective action. Together, we have built a solid platform, implementing programs and projects that have had a significant impact in Brussels and the Middle East as each of our projects, interventions and initiatives have been a step towards a fairer, more equitable and human world.

Concrete Actions for Real Change

Each project has been an opportunity to work for human dignity, to inspire hope and to offer a helping hand to those who need it: vulnerable children deprived of an education, victims of forced marriage and girls who have been able to escape it, refugee families in Belgium, Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, resettled families, isolated women in search of empowerment and consideration for who they are, unaccompanied minors, but also sponsors, citizens eager to contribute to the collective and united action and volunteers in Lebanon and Belgium. Whether it is providing quality education to underprivileged children, supporting people in precarious, vulnerable and dangerous situations, or promoting environmental, humanitarian and psychosocial actions, SB Overseas has been a constant force for change.

A Unified and Comitted Community

Behind each of our successes lies dedicated volunteers, supportive citizens, determined partners and passionate staff members. Their unwavering commitment, their boundless dedication and their belief in the intrinsic value of each individual has been one of our pillars and has made our actions, our projects, our goals possible. As we look back on these ten years of accomplishments, we would like to thank and pay tribute to all the people who have contributed to the realization of this beautiful story.

To Our Next 10 Years

For the next decade, SB Overseas looks to the future with optimism and determination. There are still so many challenges refugees, vulnerable and displaced populations are facing, but the SB Overseas remains committed to pursuing its mission with renewed energy. It will continue to expand its reach, innovate and develop new approaches to meet the changing needs of the communities it serves.

SB Overseas’ 10th anniversary is a brilliant testament to the transformative impact that can be achieved when dedicated individuals come together to make a positive change and give a voice to those less heard. We celebrate our accomplishments and salute all those who have contributed in one way or another to this wonderful journey.
