The overall SB OverSeas strategy is structured according to three main pillars, as listed below. SBO aims at
- Improving the living conditions of refugee communities in Europe and in the Middle East and empowering local communities in developing countries by
- Building strategic partnerships at the local, European and international levels undertaking a multi-stakeholder approach while
- Conducting advocacy work for the respect of refugee’s communities’ social, economic and cultural rights globally.
Global Strategy
- Developing projects, programes and activities aimed at fostering the human, social and cultural rights and capabilities of refugee communities
- Building strategic partnerships at the local, European and international levels
- Advocating at the local, European and international level for refugees’ rights, integration and inclusion
- Identifying the needs of refugee communities, closing the gaps and providing concrete support.
- Project-results oriented approach
Streamlining the successful activities and programmes and sharing good practices - Spreading successful experiences to be replicated by local actors and partners in the field in order to empower local communities and fostering their development
- Joining forces and taking common initiatives with key stakeholders (private and public) in order to maximize our impact
- Raising the voices and representing the interests of young asylum seekers in Belgium and refugees in the Middle East and building a bridge between different cultures and diverse mentalities for the rights of children and women
- Monitoring and advocating for the respect of European and International policies
- Socio-cultural and economic empowerment, education, inclusion and integration, humanitarian aid
- Human, social and cultural rights of less privileged groups, Education
