Asielzoekers worden vaak gezien als mannen. Gemiddeld migreren er echter bijna evenveel vrouwen als mannen naar Belgi\u00eb. Hoewel de migratiereis van elk individu uniek is, is geslacht een bepalende factor in het migratieproces, zowel bij de vlucht, de vluchtelingenstatus als de integratie en hervestiging in een samenleving. Vrouwen worden blootgesteld aan gendergerelateerd geweld en vervolging omwille van het simpele feit dat ze vrouw zijn enerzijds en hun precaire situatie anderzijds. Tijdens hun migratietocht zijn ze vaak het slachtoffer van mensenhandel, verminking, geweld of fysiek, psychologisch en seksueel misbruik.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dit project wil de inclusie en integratie van vluchtelingenvrouwen en -meisjes vergemakkelijken door hen gespecialiseerde ondersteuning en aangepaste psychosociale, economische en professionele begeleiding te bieden. Ons doel is om gender, de dimensies en implicaties ervan te integreren in onze acties, analyses en missies. Met andere woorden, terwijl we onderscheid maken tussen de behoeften van minderjarige en volwassen vrouwen, is het essentieel dat we rekening houden met de specifieke behoeften van beide en hen instrumenten geven die hen leiden en begeleiden naar autonomie, vrijheid en onafhankelijkheid.<\/span><\/p>\n
