L&#039;\u00e9v\u00e9nement a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert par Soraya Post et Jean Lambert qui ont tous deux soulign\u00e9 l&#039;importance de s&#039;attaquer au probl\u00e8me du mariage des enfants dans le monde.<\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9sidente de SB OverSeas, Louma Albik, a parl\u00e9 de nos observations de notre travail sur le terrain. Avec le d\u00e9clenchement du conflit, il y a eu une augmentation substantielle de la pratique avec 42% de filles syriennes mari\u00e9es au Liban, contre 13% avant la guerre. Elle a d\u00e9crit comment elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 pouss\u00e9e \u00e0 agir pour mettre fin \u00e0 cette pratique n\u00e9faste apr\u00e8s avoir entendu parler d&#039;un de nos \u00e9l\u00e8ves qui s&#039;\u00e9tait suicid\u00e9 apr\u00e8s s&#039;\u00eatre mari\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e2ge de 13 ans. ses visites \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s. Elle a termin\u00e9 le discours en appelant \u00e0 ce que des mesures soient prises par toutes les parties prenantes impliqu\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de SB OverSeas, Elisa Van Ruiten, chef de projet et sp\u00e9cialiste du genre de Human Rights Without Frontiers, a parl\u00e9 du cadre international pour le mariage des enfants et a appel\u00e9 \u00e0 un certain nombre de recommandations \u00e0 suivre, notamment le rel\u00e8vement uniforme de l&#039;\u00e2ge minimum du consentement \u00e0 dix-huit ans, la promulgation et la appliquer les lois contre le mariage des enfants, garantir l&#039;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9ducation, entre autres, comme indiqu\u00e9 dans le rapport r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 sur les droits des femmes et la religion.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivi par l&#039;UNICEF, qui a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les tendances mondiales montrent que le mariage des enfants a diminu\u00e9. Cependant, l&#039;instabilit\u00e9 caus\u00e9e par les crises, dont le conflit syrien, a pour effet d&#039;augmenter la pratique du mariage des enfants.
