The Refugee<\/span> Journal<\/h1>\n

\u00c0 quelques minutes de la c\u00f4te libanaise, \u00e0 Sa\u00efda, dans une construction inachev\u00e9e destin\u00e9e \u00e0 devenir une universit\u00e9, ce b\u00e2timent est devenu un refuge pour les habitant.es d'un petit village qui ont fui la guerre en Syrie. Iels ont fait de ce b\u00e2timent leur abri. S'attendant \u00e0 y passer une ou deux semaines avant de retourner dans leur pays d'origine, puisqu'iels sont proches de leur ville natale, iels ont malheureusement d\u00fb rester pendant des ann\u00e9es tout en essayant de se familiariser \u00e0 cette construction incompl\u00e8te.
To meet the needs of those displaced people, we inaugurate our center in Sa\u00efda which offers educational and empowerment classes for children and women. As\u00a0for education, most of shelter students are registered in the public schools. Therefore, we deliver our non-formal education program and supports students in their school work by utilizing the Lebanese curriculum in all classes, including Arabic, English language, mathematics and homework support, as well as weekly science classes, PSS activities, and life skills classes.
Le programme d'autonomisation cible les jeunes et les femmes en proposant des cours d'arabe et d'anglais pour am\u00e9liorer leurs comp\u00e9tences en communication, ainsi que des cours d'informatique sur l'utilisation des bases de l'informatique, d'Internet, de Microsoft Office et des logiciels.
Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 ces programmes, un soutien psychologique est toujours offert par un psychologue \u00e0 plein temps situ\u00e9 dans le centre pendant les heures de travail pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 tous les besoins.<\/p>\n
