A happy thought, a happy day and a start to a happy life. Everything a wedding and marriage should represent.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4h7v5\" data-offset-key=\"f654n-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"f654n-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"f654n-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4h7v5\" data-offset-key=\"89mhg-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"89mhg-0-0\"><span class=\"complexword\"><span data-offset-key=\"89mhg-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">However<\/span><\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"89mhg-1-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">, for some, this is not the reality. Fooled by dreams of a fairytale wedding, many of our girls wake up to find themselves &#8216;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"qualifier\"><span data-offset-key=\"89mhg-2-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">just<\/span><\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"89mhg-3-0\"><span data-text=\"true\"> married&#8217;. Married to a man many years older than her. Impossible expectations placed on her. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4h7v5\" data-offset-key=\"eribh-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"eribh-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"eribh-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4h7v5\" data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">In the last few months, we have shared <\/span><\/span><span class=\"complexword\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-1-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">a number of<\/span><\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-2-0\"><span data-text=\"true\"> our stories. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"veryhardreadability\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-3-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">Stories of <a href=\"https:\/\/sboverseas.org\/en\/2018\/07\/25\/life-at-thirteen-years-old-a-future-stolen\/\">thirteen year olds whose future <\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sboverseas.org\/en\/2018\/07\/25\/life-at-thirteen-years-old-a-future-stolen\/\"><span class=\"passivevoice\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-4-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">was stolen<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span class=\"veryhardreadability\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-5-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">, of girls <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"passivevoice\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-6-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">being beaten<\/span><\/span><\/span> <span class=\"adverb\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-8-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">simply<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"veryhardreadability\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-9-0\"><span data-text=\"true\"> for asking for chocolate, divorced girls left to take care of a child when they are a child themself and <a href=\"https:\/\/sboverseas.org\/en\/2018\/05\/18\/a-child-separated-from-her-child\/\">those seperated from their child<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-10-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"veryhardreadability\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-11-0\"><span data-text=\"true\"> We have spoken about the issue at the European Parliament and underlined the sharp increase in the practice from 13% \u00a0to 42% in our publication <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sboverseas.org\/en\/download\/3454\/\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-12-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">&#8216;Child Marriage: Stories from the Ground&#8217;<\/span><\/span><\/a><span class=\"veryhardreadability\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-13-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">, as well as in our <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CROWrZtvMOI&amp;t=21s&amp;frags=pl%2Cwn\"><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-14-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">video by Kevin Charbel<\/span><\/span><\/a><span data-offset-key=\"ao2ud-15-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4h7v5\" data-offset-key=\"1i8tv-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"1i8tv-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"1i8tv-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4h7v5\" data-offset-key=\"5pc47-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"5pc47-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"5pc47-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">Now, we are taking a new approach.
