A citizenship education and integration support project led by volunteers for unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors living in asylum centres in Brussels.
We organise engaging activities and workshops with international volunteers every weekend for the unaccompanied minors living in three reception centres for asylum-seekers in Brussels.
Within SB Espoir, in 2019 we piloted an extension of activities with a women and girls centre in Jette called “Son Choix, Son Avenir” (her choices, her future). This project focuses on promoting social inclusion, personal development and access of opportunities for asylum-seeking girls and women through.
Our communications team in Brussels works on promoting the work that we do on educational and social inclusion of refugees through citizen engagement at the European level, including:
+ Attending and speaking at events about refugee inclusion and other topics related to the context in Lebanon and Brussels, early marriage, young asylum seekers, inclusion policy, among other areas.
+ Organizing presentations of our work at large events related to humanitarian aid and development, such as the European Development Days
+ Contributing to advocacy efforts through sharing of experiences and reports from the field
+ Fundraising for our projects in Brussels and Lebanon, including our yearly Give Hope and Brighten Their Future campaigns
And much more!
