My life was good in Syria, we had everything. It is really hard for me to live here in Lebanon. My husband left us and now we know nothing about him. My children and I try hard to bring food to the table, which sometimes comes from the bin, where we can find leftover vegetables and fruits for free. Coming to SB’s Bukra Ahla center has given me the chance to learn new things, some sessions have taught me how to better handle the situation, I believe thanks to what we have learnt I am raising my children the right way and giving them the right tools for them to be empowered.

Ma vie en Syrie était bien, nous avions tout. C’était vraiment difficile pour moi de vivre ici au Liban. Mon mari nous a quittés et maintenant nous ne savons rien de lui. Mes enfants et moi faisons de notre mieux pour apporter de la nourriture à la table, qui provient parfois de la corbeille, où nous pouvons trouver des restes de légumes et de fruits gratuitement. En arrivant au centre de SB Bukra Ahla, j’ai eu la chance d’apprendre de nouvelles choses, quelques séances m’ont appris comment mieux gérer la situation. Je crois que, grâce à ce que nous avons appris, j’élève mes enfants correctement et leur donne les bons outils pour leur permettre d’être autonome.
