Want to Sponsor Volunteers in Lebanon?
The Lebanon Volunteering Programme offers a unique opportunity for students, recent graduates, or young professionals from a variety of fields (education, social work, humanitarian work, international development, migration studies, journalism, etc) to develop their skills in a multi-cultural environment. Volunteers will gain valuable experience in a variety of areas, such as teaching, fundraising, project development, grant drafting, social media and communications, and first aid.
We provide the opportunity to learn Levantine Arabic with one of our Arabic teachers. We use a curriculum developed by Georgetown University that teaches Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) along with Levantine and Egyptian Arabic. We provide the Alif Baa textbook which includes interactive online resources (http://press.georgetown.edu/book/al-kitaab/alif-baa).
Our programme also provides for accommodation in a dorm-style setting in shared apartments which are located in Beirut or Saida. Electricity, wi-fi, running water, heating or air conditioning are included.
Please read our Guidelines for Sponsors above and contact our Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on the sponsorship programme.
