Our advocacy programme is focused on denouncing violations, making voices heard, and influencing policy outcomes, to bring an effective change to the life of refugees and victims of conflict.
In September 2017, SB Overseas undertook the ambitious project of bringing the findings collected by our colleagues in Lebanon and Turkey to the attention of national and international decision-makers. We consider that a structural change can be brought about by raising awareness on the issues at stake for refugees and displaced persons, and by influencing policies to implement and enforce the respect of their human rights.
The principles driving our advocacy actions are:
- The right of education and the importance of avoiding a “lost generation”
- The respect of women rights, including their right to work and to receive education
- The abolition of the practice of early marriage
- The respect of human rights for all vulnerable people
